Multiple fire emergencies reported across Romania and Moldova

Multiple fire incidents have been reported across Romania and Moldova.

On the A1 motorway near Balinț, a truck carrying pellets caught fire, reportedly after a tire exploded. The vehicle veered off the road, breaking the guardrail and overturning, which caused significant traffic restrictions on the Timișoara–Lugoj route.

In Mureș, a large fire broke out in a plastic recycling warehouse, prompting a RO-Alert for local residents. Other significant fires in Romania included a wooden house and two outbuildings in Mureșenii Bârgăului caused by an electrical short circuit, a residential building in Alba Iulia that required the evacuation of 40 people due to basement smoke, and a house fire in Chichiș where firefighters rescued a dog.

In Chișinău, Moldova, a fire broke out in a building located in the Central Market near Armenească Street, requiring an increased emergency response.
