Chișinău International Airport privatization not on government agenda

The Moldovan government and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development have confirmed that the privatization of Chișinău International Airport is not currently on their agenda. Minister Vladimir Bolea stated that the airport will remain under state administration.

Bolea noted that Chișinău International Airport concluded 2025 with a profit of approximately 750 million lei, on total revenues exceeding one billion lei.

In a separate development, authorities are working to finalize the absorption of Mărculești International Airport by the Chișinău airport. The transfer of land has already been completed, and the next stage involves the transfer of assets through a government decision.
