Chișinău International Airport to restrict access due to Hasidic pilgrim influx
Chișinău International Airport (Eugen Doga) will implement special access restrictions from September 14 to 17, 2026. These measures are being introduced to manage an increased flow of passengers consisting of Hasidic pilgrims.
According to the airport administration and the Risk Management Group of the Civil Aviation Authority, terminal access during this period will be limited to passengers, airport staff, and flight crews. Passengers are permitted to enter the terminal no more than three hours before their scheduled departure and must present travel documents and flight confirmation.
To maintain order and safety, bus traffic will be strictly organized. Drivers and group organizers must use designated parking and movement zones as instructed by airport personnel and authorities. The measures are being enforced through a coordinated effort involving the Border Police, Customs Service, General Inspectorate of Carabinieri, National Public Security Inspectorate, and the National Agency for Food Safety.
