Chișinău International Airport traffic jams prompt parking land request

Heavy vehicle traffic has built up around Chișinău International Airport (Eugen Doga) during the summer season, leaving drivers of private cars and tour buses waiting for minutes in long queues. Motorists report difficulty finding parking, saying “E greu de găsit loc de parcare, pierzi timp” and “E dificil când vin, nu am unde să parchez”.

The airport authority has asked the Chișinău City Hall to temporarily allocate a nearby municipal plot for a provisional parking lot to relieve congestion. The city has not yet responded to the request.
