Chișinău Mayor Ion Ceban Advances Modernisation of Gh. Ghimpu High School

Chișinău Mayor Ion Ceban visited the Gh. Ghimpu Theoretical High School in Colonița, highlighting ongoing summer works to completely reconstruct the school courtyard. The project includes paving platforms and walkways, repairing stairs, re‑configuring the drainage system and building a multifunctional sports complex. Recent upgrades have also replaced all windows and entrance doors and renovated the school cafeteria, reducing heating costs and improving the indoor climate for students and staff.

The reconstruction is financed jointly by the Chișinău and Colonița municipalities. Earlier municipal investments of more than 1 billion lei have upgraded roads, utilities, lighting and transport in the capital’s suburbs, including the purchase of a minibuss for pupils from Maximovca and Dolinnoe, with a new vehicle under consideration as enrolments rise.
