Chișinău opens new 70‑space public parking facility in Buiucani district

Chișinău municipal authorities have started construction of a new public parking lot in the Buiucani district. The facility will hold 70 vehicles and is located at the intersection of Vasile Coroban and Nicolae Costin streets. The project was launched in response to requests from local residents and is part of a broader neighbourhood revitalisation and urban‑mobility plan that includes additional park‑and‑ride sites and public‑transport improvements. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

The 70‑space lot aims to ease traffic congestion in the capital and replace an existing playground and fitness area with the new parking structure and upgraded green spaces.
