Bus accident in Hungary kills 12 people

A Polish-registered coach overturned on a highway near Mezokeresztes, Hungary, resulting in 12 fatalities and numerous injuries. The vehicle had entered Hungary from Serbia and was carrying 57 passengers and two drivers.

Emergency services reported that 11 people died at the scene, with one additional person later passing away in the hospital. Nine individuals sustained serious injuries, while 37 others suffered minor injuries. This incident is noted as one of the most severe bus accidents in Hungary since the 2003 Siofok tragedy. Experts have highlighted falling asleep at the wheel as a critical danger for drivers.
