Chilam Cheung to play villainous role in TVB drama City of Splendor

Actor Chilam Cheung is set to portray a highly complex and villainous character in the upcoming TVB drama, ‘City of Splendor’. Cheung, often known for his ‘Cool Demon’ persona, described his role as Guan Xiaoxian as the most evil character of his career, involving acts of cruelty and psychological abuse.

The character is depicted as a sophisticated power seeker who hides a calculating and cold nature behind a refined exterior. Driven by childhood trauma and unfulfilled desires for affection, the character undergoes a descent into darkness. The series will also feature a central conflict between Cheung’s character and the character played by Bosco Wong, portraying a tense struggle between two brothers characterized by both ruthlessness and familial ties.
