Child Abuse Court Notices Issued in West Virginia and Tennessee

The Circuit Court of Brooke County, West Virginia, scheduled a hearing for September 3, 2026, after the Department of Children’s Services filed a petition alleging abuse and neglect of children N.S., B.S. and A.S. Their biological mother, Brittany Strope, and custodian Michael Shriver were ordered to answer the petition within 20 days or risk termination of parental rights.

In Putnam County, Tennessee, the State Department of Children’s Services filed a petition to declare the children of Blake Britton dependent and neglected. The juvenile court set a hearing for September 22, 2026, and ordered Britton to appear and submit an answer within 30 days of the notice publication. Failure to appear may result in a default judgment.
