Child abuse investigations and expert warnings on domestic risks

Psychologist Jelson Quintas has issued a warning regarding the risks of child sexual abuse occurring within the family circle. Speaking on Rádio Correio da Kianda, Quintas emphasized the difficulty in identifying perpetrators when they are close to the victim and noted that family members sometimes dismiss or doubt a child's reports, which can prolong suffering and hinder help-seeking.

In a separate incident in Porto Murtinho, Brazil, the Civil Police are investigating allegations of sexual abuse against two children, aged 2 and 3, at a Child Education Center (Ceinf). A teacher is the primary suspect following reports from parents regarding physical discomfort and genital irritation in the children. Authorities are conducting forensic examinations and investigating reports from staff members to determine the facts of the case.
