Child development and modern parenting challenges
Carla Cesio will lead a conference through the Association Montessori Suisse exploring the role of touch as a tool for emotional and physical regulation in children. The session will address how touch serves as a relational language to help both neurotypical and neuroatypical children find inner security and attention amidst modern sensory overload. Cesio will discuss various therapeutic approaches, including Thai massage, reflexology, and specialized massage for children with particular needs.
In a separate discussion regarding modern parenting, the challenges of contemporary life are highlighted. Parents today face unprecedented stress due to constant urgency, financial pressures, and increased logistical demands, such as longer commutes and extracurricular schedules. This environment often leaves both parents and children exhausted, potentially impacting the ability to provide children with essential time, transmission of values, and serenity.
