Child Help Foundation implements menstrual health programme in India

The Child Help Foundation (CHF), a pan-India non-profit organization, has implemented a Menstrual Health Education and Sanitary Napkin Distribution Programme across several Indian states. The initiative aims to address menstrual health as a barrier to education and dignity for women and adolescent girls.

Through targeted drives and awareness sessions, the foundation distributed sanitary napkin packets to thousands of individuals in Assam, Bihar, and Maharashtra. The programme specifically targeted vulnerable areas, including communities in Assam recovering from floods and children’s homes in Mumbai.

CHF CEO Shaji Varghese stated that the programme focuses on ensuring menstrual health is treated as a matter of dignity and the right to continue daily life and education without interruption.
