Child hospitalized in critical condition after DN1 truck accident

A 5-year-old child is in critical condition after being struck by a semi-trailer truck on the DN1 national road in Groși, Bihor County. The incident occurred around noon when the child reportedly left a building's courtyard and attempted to cross the road in an unauthorized area.

The truck was driven by a 37-year-old man from Pitești. The child sustained a severe traumatic brain injury, multiple fractures, and other traumas. Following the impact, the child was transported to a hospital where they were initially in critical condition. While the child's hemodynamic state has since stabilized, they remain in the Intensive Care Unit under medical supervision.
