Bus rear‑ends truck on MG‑410 near Lagoa Grande, 19 injured
A bus operated by Viação São Cristóvão collided with the rear of a Mercedes‑Benz Actros truck and its two semitrailers on the MG‑410 highway near Lagoa Grande, Minas Gerais. The impact trapped the bus driver, who was later freed by rescue crews, and left a total of 19 people requiring medical attention.
Seven passengers suffered minor injuries, while 13 passengers and the bus driver were taken to the Unidade de Pronto Atendimento in João Pinheiro. The truck driver, who was 58, was unharmed. Police and traffic authorities closed the road partially for rescue operations and vehicle removal. Both drivers tested negative for alcohol, and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the crash.
