Child Injuries from Home Heating Accidents Reported in Cuba and Argentina

The child was taken to Hospital Vicente Agüero for treatment while authorities investigated the cause, which appears to be an accidental ignition of a heating device.

In Villa Obrera, Chimbas, Argentina, three young siblings – a 9‑year‑old boy, a 3‑year‑old girl and a 4‑month‑old infant – were hospitalized with carbon‑monoxide poisoning after a brazier was used indoors without ventilation. They were admitted to Hospital Marcial Quiroga and are reported to be stable. Police noted the danger of using combustion heaters in enclosed spaces.
