Child Pornography Arrests in Mexico and Peru

Mexico's Federal Attorney General's Office (FGR) brought Juan “N” before a judge on charges of possessing child sexual abuse material. The investigation stemmed from a report by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, leading to his detention at the Federal Penal Justice Center in Nezahualcóyotl, State of Mexico, and a preventive prison order while the case proceeds.

In Peru, prosecutors in Lima arrested Aarón León, a resident of Nuevo Chimbote, and three other suspects after a tip from Spanish authorities identified a network that shared child sexual abuse images via Telegram. The operation, coordinated with the National Police's cyber‑protection division, resulted in the seizure of electronic devices for forensic analysis. The detainees face charges of aggravated child pornography.

Both investigations highlight ongoing transnational efforts to combat online sexual exploitation of children.
