Child Pornography Network Busted in Uttar Pradesh, Two Arrested

Uttar Pradesh police in Bhadhohi arrested a man and a woman linked to a gang that sold child sexual abuse material online. The perpetrators used a fake Facebook and WhatsApp identity called “Simran Punjabi” to market videos and photos of minors, and allegedly conducted financial transactions framed as self‑harm payments. Seized evidence included mobile phones, a counterfeit identity card, thousands of explicit videos and photos, and records of about ₹1 crore flowing through the network. Authorities say the operation was uncovered through monitoring of online child‑exploitation content and technical forensic analysis, and investigations are ongoing to identify additional participants.

The arrests highlight law‑enforcement efforts to dismantle digital networks that exploit children and raise concerns about the use of fabricated identities to evade detection.
