Diyarbakır school implements nature-based education model

Alakoç Kindergarten in the Bintaş neighborhood of Diyarbakır has adopted a nature-based education model designed to move learning beyond traditional classroom walls. The program emphasizes hands-on experience with soil, production, and the environment.

Students participate in various practical activities, including planting and watering heirloom seeds in a greenhouse, observing the growth of fruits and vegetables, and managing a circular ecosystem by using natural fertilizer from the school's coop. The curriculum also integrates arts and life skills, such as preparing meals with fresh harvests, painting on canvases, and playing musical instruments like the piano.
