Child welfare and parenting needs in Norway

Discussions regarding child welfare and parenting emphasize the critical need for stability and presence in children's lives. In the context of adolescence, parents are encouraged to transition from being primary controllers to becoming accessible guides who provide support as children navigate social complexities and digital interactions.

Simultaneously, there is an urgent call for foster homes in Norway. Currently, thirteen children from Ukraine are waiting for foster care in the southern region. These children, many of whom have experienced war and displacement, require stable environments to ensure they can attend school and participate in community activities. The emphasis is placed on the ability to provide security and belonging rather than having a perfect family background.
