Children First offers support to Scottish families for back-to-school season

The charity Children First is urging parents and carers across Scotland, including regions such as Renfrewshire and Shetland, to seek assistance as the new school year approaches. The organization notes that returning to school routines can trigger various pressures, including anxiety, friendship navigation, financial concerns, and mental health challenges.

Children First provides a free and confidential support line offering practical, emotional, and financial guidance. According to the charity, nearly 14,000 people utilized their services over the past year to address issues ranging from family relationships to online harm. Chief Executive Mary Glasgow stated that the support line frequently hears from caregivers who find raising children and teenagers increasingly difficult.
