Children injured in separate incidents in Italy

Two separate incidents involving injured children have been reported in Italy.

In Porto Sant'Elpidio, a child approximately 10 years old sustained an abdominal injury caused by a metal element of a gate. The incident occurred around 11:00 PM on Tuesday, September 8. Emergency medical services provided initial care on-site before deploying a helicopter to transfer the child to a hospital. The exact dynamics of the accident are still being investigated.

In Pozzuoli, an eight-year-old child was struck by an electric bicycle on the Sandro Pertini seafront shortly before midnight. The rider, described as a teenager approximately 16 years old, reportedly fled the scene without providing assistance. The child was treated by emergency responders and later transferred to Santobono hospital in Naples due to abdominal and leg pain. Medical professionals have issued a prognosis of 5 to 7 days, and police are currently reviewing surveillance footage and witness statements to identify the driver.
