Children of Blood and Bone cast debuts trailer at New York Comic Con

At New York Comic Con, director Gina Prince-Bythewood and the cast of the upcoming film adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s novel, ‘Children of Blood and Bone’, debuted an extended trailer. The footage highlights the fantastical world of Orïsha and the central conflict involving Zélie Adebola, a young woman attempting to restore magic to her people.

Beyond the epic scale, the film focuses on intimate family drama within the ruling monarchy. The trailer depicts the fractured relationships of the royal family, specifically the tension between King Saran, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor, and his children, Princess Amari (Amandla Stenberg) and Inan (Damson Idris). During a panel moderated by Rian Johnson, the cast discussed the emotional complexities and the struggle for trust that drive the story.
