Children's healthcare organizations launch major fundraising initiatives

Phoenix Children’s has launched the Legacy Challenge, a planned-giving initiative designed to provide immediate support for children and families in Arizona. Through this campaign, donors who include the Phoenix Children’s Foundation in their wills, trusts, or retirement plans can unlock matching funds. The hospital will contribute 10 percent of the future gift, up to $25,000, to be used immediately in the donor's honor. The challenge aims to unlock $1 million in matching funds over an 18-month period, with proceeds directed toward pediatric research, behavioral health, patient family assistance, or the hospital's Hope Fund.

Separately, Walmart and Sam’s Club have marked 39 years of partnership with Children’s Miracle Network. Their most recent annual fundraising campaign, which ran from June 8 to July 5, raised over $39 million. These funds are distributed to local children’s hospitals to support specialized care, medical equipment, research, and family services.
