Children's puppet theater and workshops expand regional cultural programming

Various regional cultural initiatives are promoting children's performing arts through immersive theater and hands-on workshops.

In Argana Baja, the Sociocultural Center is hosting ‘Único’, an inclusive puppet and digital arts show by Bolina Teatro de Títeres. Designed for children aged 3 to 7, the performance uses sand art, shadow puppets, and audiovisual projections to explore themes of identity and acceptance. The event includes a ‘stay-and-play’ workshop where participants can interact with light tables and scenic elements.

Meanwhile, the second edition of the Titiritorre Festival in Alhaurín de la Torre recently held a puppet-making workshop at the Vicente Aleixandre Cultural Center. More than 60 children participated in creating their own figures using various craft materials. The festival continues with theatrical performances and storytelling sessions aimed at fostering creativity in families.
