Children's Summer Reading Programs Kick Off in France and Canada

In Breteil, France, the municipal library of Bédée is offering a free reading event titled "Les pieds dans l'herbe – Partir en livre" for children aged 0 to 3. The session is scheduled for Friday 19 June 2026 at 10:00 and is open by registration.

In Baie‑Comeau, Canada, the Alice‑Lane library is running a summer reading club for youth aged 0 to 12 from 26 June to 27 August. Participants receive free reading kits and can win a prize in a draw on 27 August. The program includes weekly BiblioCLUB workshops for ages 6‑12 on Sundays from 5‑27 July, as well as English‑language activities under Club TD on 24 July, 31 July, 14 August and 21 August, organized by the North Shore Community Association.
