Chile and Argentina host free children's film cycles in museums and cineclubs
Casa Museo Eduardo Frei Montalva in Providencia, Chile, is presenting a free "Ciclo de Cine de Animé Francés" for children aged seven and up. Screenings will be held on the Sundays of August 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 at 16:00 in the museum’s audiovisual hall, showcasing French‑directed animated films such as "Chien Pourri", "Ernest & Célestine" and "Yakari".
In Córdoba, Argentina, the municipal Cineclub "La Quimera" marked its 45‑year anniversary on 24 July with a special showing of Chantal Akerman’s "Un diván en Nueva York". The club continues its "Cuando éramos niños" series through 5 August, offering classic family films—including "Los Aristogatos", "Willy Wonka y su fábrica de chocolates", "El mago de Oz" and others—screened in Spanish dub or original language with subtitles.
