Chile and Argentina host free workshops on early childhood care

On August 1, the Biblioteca Infantil in Puerto Varas, Chile, hosted a free talk titled “Attachment and Parenting: Who Raises Children and Its Effects on Development.” The presentation was given by psychologist and university professor Dr. Rodrigo Cárcamo, who discussed recent scientific findings on the role of parents, educators and other caregivers in early childhood development.

The same day, the Centro Educativo Pynandí in Posadas, Argentina, offered a workshop called “The 12 Gestures of Care, Accompanying Childhood.” Coordinated by psychopedagogy specialist Ignacia González Rena, the session explored the twelve caring gestures identified by Rolf Heine and their impact on building secure, loving relationships with children.
