Chilean agencies launch multiple support initiatives for SMEs

Various Chilean government agencies and private entities are launching initiatives to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) during the 2026 SME Week.

Sercotec is organizing regional activities in Biobío, including business rounds and certifications for over 100 entrepreneurs. Additionally, Sercotec has partnered with the Defensoría del Contribuyente (DEDECON) to provide free tax assistance and guidance to help micro and small businesses with formalization and tax compliance.

Corfo is facilitating business connections through the ‘Conectar para Crecer’ program, which hosted over 600 meetings between large corporations and SMEs. In the Los Ríos region, Corfo is allocating over $800 million to 35 SMEs to boost productivity and employment. In Aysén, initiatives are focusing on productive opportunities within the native forest and nature tourism sectors.

In the financial sector, companies can now request Fintoc accounts directly through the ‘Tu Empresa en un Día’ platform to simplify digital payment access for newly formed businesses. Furthermore, the CIDERE and Universidad Andrés Bello are collaborating in Biobío to strengthen the regional innovation ecosystem through the CIDERE Innovation Table.
