Chile creative economy reaches record US$106 million in exports

The Chilean national creative economy program, Chilecreativo, has concluded its ten-year cycle, reporting significant growth in both the number of participating companies and international exports.

According to data from Corfo, the number of companies linked to the creative sector rose from 34,754 at the start of the program to 55,837 by its conclusion. The industry's contribution to Chile's GDP also increased from 1.6% to 2.2%.

Export figures for creative services saw substantial growth. While program reports noted exports reaching US$98 million, more recent data from ProChile indicates that 2025 exports reached a record US$106 million, representing an 8.4% increase from the previous year. The program's evolution included expanding from traditional sectors like audiovisual, music, and design into digital adoption, technological transfer, and knowledge-based businesses.
