Junta de Andalucía distributes fruits, vegetables and milk to nearly 2,000 schools in 2025‑26

The Junta de Andalucía’s Programa Escolar de Frutas, Hortalizas y Leche reached more than 510,000 children in kindergarten and primary school during the 2025‑26 academic year. Around 730 tonnes of fresh fruit and vegetables and over 916 000 litres of milk and gazpacho were supplied to roughly 2,000 schools across the eight Andalusian provinces.

Provincial breakdowns show Almería receiving 68.35 tonnes of produce and 10 480 litres of gazpacho for 47 470 pupils, while Sevilla distributed 170.06 tonnes and 24 535 litres for 118 271 pupils. In total, about 807 900 litres of milk were delivered to 423 300 students in 1 700 centres. The programme is funded with a public investment of roughly €4 million, co‑financed by the EU’s FEAGA agricultural guarantee fund.
