Chile fire service holds anniversary and funeral ceremonies for volunteers

In Cauquenes, the Fourth Fire Company marked its 38th anniversary with a ceremony attended by provincial presidential delegate Simón Recabal, superintendent Víctor Fuentes, company director Rodrigo Bastías and local officials. Awards were presented to long‑serving volunteers who have responded to recent floods, landslides and other emergencies caused by frontal weather systems.

In Santiago, the Third Fire Company of the Cuerpo de Bomberos de Santiago conducted a funeral at the General Cemetery for honorary volunteer Jorge Fuentes Fuentes, who served more than five decades in the Chilean fire corps. The service was led by company director Luis Carrasco Garrido and attended by superintendent Álvaro Lara Alba and commander Giorgio Tromben Marcone, honoring Fuentes' lifelong dedication to the fire service and community.
