Chile fuel prices projected to rise starting August 20

Fuel prices in Chile are projected to rise starting Thursday, August 20. Preliminary estimates suggest that 93-octane gasoline could increase by between $32 and $37 per liter, while 97-octane gasoline may see hikes ranging from $32 to $38 per liter. Diesel is expected to increase by $30 to $35 per liter.

These projected adjustments are driven by international fuel price trends and exchange rate fluctuations. While the performance of the Chilean peso may partially mitigate the impact, it is not expected to prevent the increase. The final amounts will be determined by the Fuel Price Stabilization Mechanism (MEPCO) and market conditions at the close of the reference period.
