Chile Government Negotiates Lower TAG Toll Rates Amid Rising Driver Debt

The move comes as arrears among motorists in the Metropolitan Region have doubled since 2020, with all urban routes reporting higher delinquency in recent months. The government is considering extending concession periods in exchange for lower user tariffs, though any agreement will depend on the specific terms of existing contracts.
