Chile health officials close multiple restaurants following sanitation inspections

The regional health authority in Talca, Chile, inspected several city‑center eateries and ordered the closure of three restaurants while opening four sanitary investigations after finding hygiene problems, pest‑control lapses and infrastructure deficiencies.

In a broader national campaign, the Chilean Ministry of Health inspected 777 food‑service establishments across the country between late May and early June 2026. Inspectors issued 371 corrective orders and shut down 39 venues deemed a health risk or operating without proper permits, and they seized three batches of unsafe food products.
