Chile hosts free August concerts and talks featuring PICKÚA and Julieta Venegas

Chilean singer‑songwriter PICKÚA will mark 20 years of her career with a free concert titled “PICKÚA a la Chilena” on 7 August at the Centro Cultural Municipal in Villarrica. The show blends cueca brava, cumbia, bolero and other popular styles, and will be preceded by open workshops on cueca singing and guitar.

Mexican artist Julieta Venegas will appear at the Universidad Diego Portales in Santiago on 14 August for a free public talk called “Tijuana en la memoria” as part of the Cátedra Abierta UDP. The event will include a discussion of her new book “Norteña: Memorias del comienzo” and a limited‑capacity book‑signing session, with registration required.

Both events are organized as free cultural activities for the Chilean public, featuring local and international musicians and offering additional community workshops and literary engagement.
