Chile Launches Nationwide LGBTI+ Workplace Inclusion Index, Equidad CL 2026

The Fundación Iguales, together with Human Rights Campaign and Pride Connection Chile, opened the call for companies to join the eighth edition of the Equidad CL 2026 index. The free and confidential diagnostic evaluates LGBTI+ inclusion and diversity policies, offering a tailored improvement plan. New questionnaire items will collect data on ESG‑related KPIs, leadership performance surveys, and voluntary anonymous LGBTI+ employee profiling. In the 2025 edition, 141 firms participated, with 67 earning the “Best Places to Work for LGBTI+” certification. The share of companies reporting DEI policies rose from 57% in 2017 to 96% in 2025, though discrimination concerns remain.

Certified firms from 2025 will receive a “Fast‑Track” advantage for the 2026 application, streamlining their submission process. The index, modeled on the U.S. Corporate Equality Index, aims to promote realistic assessments and concrete actions toward more inclusive workplace cultures across Chile.
