Río Grande launches municipal land allotment program
The Municipality of Río Grande has opened applications for its Public-Private Municipal Land Allotment Program, targeting the development of 600 lots in the Chacra XII sector. In the first 24 hours of registration, over 2,300 residents successfully applied through the Citizen Portal, reflecting high demand for urban land access.
The initial call offers 231 plots, each measuring 180 square meters and equipped with necessary infrastructure and services. To ensure transparency, the selection process will include a verification of requirements followed by a lottery overseen by a public notary.
Applications are open until November 13. Eligible candidates must be over 18, hold Argentine citizenship or permanent residency, and have at least two years of continuous residence in Río Grande. Additionally, applicants must not possess other housing solutions or have received public housing benefits in the last ten years. The program utilizes a public-private partnership model, with proceeds from land sales intended to be reinvested into the sector to complete infrastructure works.
