Chile police detain drug dealer in Nacimiento and minor with replica gun in Viña del Mar

Carabineros conducted a preventive operation in the villa El Colgante of Nacimiento, Biobío Region, where they stopped a 19‑year‑old man identified as O. A. A. L. The suspect attempted to flee, hiding a bag of cannabis in a house. Police entered the dwelling, seizing 78 pre‑packaged marijuana bags, an additional bulk bag, a homemade firearm and a 12‑gauge cartridge. The suspect, who has prior micro‑trafficking convictions, was placed under the custody of the Public Ministry pending a hearing at the Nacimiento Guarantee Court.

In a separate patrol in Viña del Mar, Valparaíso Region, Carabineros of the Tenencia Nueva Aurora stopped a minor who was concealing a blank pistol with ammunition in his clothing. The weapon and a loaded cartridge were confiscated, and the teenager was detained under article 445 of the Penal Code and handed over to the justice system for further processing.
