Chile reports multiple tremors amid discussions on new seismic building standards

Chile experienced several seismic events on September 5, 2026, including tremors with magnitudes ranging from 3.0 to 4.3. Recorded locations included areas near San Antonio de los Cobres, Socaire, Ollagüe, Pica, San Pedro de Atacama, and Los Andes.
