Chile rolls out youth leadership program and highlights blue‑economy careers at university event
Enseña Chile announced that applications are open for its 2027 Leadership Program. The two‑year paid teaching placement targets young professionals aged 22‑30, offering mentorship, classroom observation and continuous training. Director Tomás Recart said the initiative aims to transform vulnerable schools while giving participants purposeful career experience. Since its inception, the foundation has reached more than 300,000 students and produced over 1,000 alumni.
Separately, SalmonChile took part in the “Conexión Empresarial FEN UDD 2026” forum at the Universidad del Desarrollo in Concepción. Communications director Francisco Renner presented the sector’s role in Chile’s blue economy, stressing the importance of salmon farming and industrial fishing for national growth and regional development. He urged students to consider high‑skill jobs in these industries, linking academic training with industry needs.
Both efforts seek to attract and prepare Chile’s next generation for impactful roles in education and maritime industries.
