Chile sees University of Concepción win women's sub‑16 league and Sol de América claim Punta Arenas winter football cup

The UNICO Camanchaca women's sub‑16 league concluded in the Biobío Region, where more than 160 players competed and the University of Concepción lifted the Copa de Oro after a 3‑1 victory over Huachipato. The tournament highlighted emerging talent, with several participants earning national team call‑ups and organizers emphasizing its role in developing future professional players.

In Punta Arenas, the inaugural municipal winter football cup wrapped up with Sol de América crowned champions. The free‑entry competition featured 320 players from 16 teams across nine matchdays, providing winter sport opportunities in a region where football is usually played as futsal. The tournament’s success is prompting plans for a second edition.
