Chile to hold national selection for South American Canoeing Championship

Chile will hold a national selection competition on October 10 to determine the athletes who will represent the country at the South American Canoeing and Paracanoeing Championship. The continental event is scheduled to take place from November 6 to November 8 at Laguna Avendaño in Quillón.

The championship is expected to host approximately 400 athletes from ten nations, including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico. The selection process includes speed trials at 200, 500, and 1,000 meters. Local athletes, such as canoeist Fernanda Sepúlveda and paracanoeist Marcelo González, are among those competing for spots on the national delegation.
