Chile XV wins first Americas Rugby Championship title

Chile XV secured its first Americas Rugby Championship title after a dramatic 28-27 victory over Argentina XV at the Estadio Elías Figueroa Brander in Valparaíso. The match, which coincided with the 90th anniversary of the first international match between the two nations, concluded with a last-minute try by Ernesto Tchimino and a successful conversion by Matías Garafulic.

Argentina XV held a significant lead during much of the match, including a 27-14 advantage with 20 minutes remaining. However, Chile managed a late comeback to end Argentina's historical dominance in the tournament. With this win, Chile claims its first championship in the competition, while Argentina XV finishes in second place.
