Community movements in Chile and Argentina focus on animal rights and cultural traditions

Various community actions and cultural events have taken place across Argentina and Chile. In Chile, animal rights advocates organized widespread demonstrations under the ‘Por tradiciones sin Crueldad’ collective. Hundreds of people marched in cities including Santiago, Viña del Mar, and Valdivia to demand an end to traditions involving animal cruelty, asserting that cultural identity should not require animal suffering.
