Chilean aquatic athletes achieve success in national and international competitions
Chilean athletes achieved notable success in aquatic sports competitions. In diving, eight-year-old Lucas Burboa won the national interclub championship in the Advanced category Group D. Despite competing against athletes up to 11 years old, Burboa secured first place with a total of 137.65 points, highlighted by technical dives including a one-and-a-half somersault.
In international competition, the Chilean artistic swimming team performed well at the Junior World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Nicolás Campos secured fifth place in the Men's Technical Solo and seventh place in the Men's Free Solo. Additionally, the Chilean acrobatic team earned fifth place in their event, utilizing a routine inspired by Rapa Nui culture to outperform several traditionally strong nations.
