Chilean athletes achieve success in regional MTB and national rugby

Several Chilean athletes achieved notable success in regional and national sports competitions. In the Mountain Bike (MTB) Rally Placilla, part of the O'Higgins Regional Championship, Curicó cyclists Lorena Martínez, Miguel Núñez, and Alberto Urzúa secured top positions in their respective categories. Martínez took first place in the Master A (Expert Challenge) category, while Núñez won the Master D category and Urzúa earned second place in the same division. These results place the three riders at the top of the general classification for the first three stages of the championship.

In rugby, Catalina Villarroel has been selected for the Chilean Women's National Rugby Seven team. Following her participation in the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games, Villarroel will join the national squad for preparation ahead of the ODESUR Games. The team is scheduled to travel to Córdoba, Argentina, to compete in the Pre-ODESUR International Championship.
