Chilean Beach Soccer team wins CONMEBOL South Zone title

The Chilean Beach Soccer National Team secured first place in the 2026 CONMEBOL Evolución League South Zone tournament held in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. The team, composed entirely of players from Iquique and coached by Eduardo Medalla, earned 15 points during the competition held between September 9 and 13.

Following this victory, Chile is set to face Brazil, the winner of the North Zone, in the absolute final of the tournament for both adult and U-20 categories. Regional authorities in Tarapacá are currently working to organize these upcoming final matches to take place at the Arena Cavancha in Iquique in February 2027.
