Chilean Civil Registry launches identity initiative for children

The Chilean Civil Registry and Identification Service launched the ‘Mi Primera Cédula’ initiative at the La Academia kindergarten in La Serena. Part of the ‘Registro Civil Te Cuida’ program, the project allows children to request their first identity document directly within their educational environment.

This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Civil Registry and the National Board of Kindergartens (JUNJI). It aims to promote civic education and connect children with concepts of identity and rights from an early age through a friendly, accessible experience for families.
