The Court of Appeals of Punta Arenas reversed an earlier labor‑court decision and validated the dismissal of a senior Enap production manager who traveled to Brazil while on medical leave. Following an internal audit that found many Enap workers had left the country on medical leave, the employee’s claim for 158 million pesos in compensation was denied, and the appellate court deemed the dismissal lawful.
