Chilean football: Copa Chile venues and national team coaching updates

The Copa Chile round of 16 matches between Colo Colo and Audax Italiano will both be held at the Estadio Nacional. This arrangement is due to Colo Colo being unable to use the Monumental stadium because of a scheduled concert, while Audax Italiano is also unable to use the Estadio Bicentenario de La Florida.

The first leg is scheduled for September 22 at 20:30, with the return leg following on September 25 at 20:00.

Separately, regarding the Chilean national team, Carlos Caszely has expressed skepticism about the possibility of Manuel Pellegrini taking over as head coach. While Pellegrini has been considered a candidate, Caszely noted that the Real Betis manager is currently successful in Europe and questioned the motivation for him to return to Chile. The national team is currently preparing for a North American tour against Canada, the United States, and Mexico under interim manager Nicolás Córdova.
